Rural faculty discussed gender issues in recruitment and retention,
the effects of rural training, the impact of managed care, future items for research, and
issues of rural background. NRHA and STFM membership committees will be communicating
regarding mutual efforts. It seems that nearly every person who attended the STFM Group
meeting in Boston was at the NRHA meeting with the addition of several others. Group
members are finalizing details for next NRHA. Contact Jeff Stearns for information.
