STFM Group Workshop in New Orleans
WELCOME TO NEW ORLEANS AND THE RURAL FACULTY WORKSHOP
May 5th and 6th 1995
We hope that you enjoy your stay. We hope that you will meet some old and new friends. Please take advantage of this opportunity to teach your rural faculty colleagues as well as take home some valuable information for your own programs. All of the sessions will be held at the LSU Campus. Transportation is available from the hotel to the campus before and after the sessions. The workshop involves a series of presentations followed by small group discussions. These involve a mix of experienced and new faculty involved in similar types of programs and projects. The purpose of the rural workshops:
1. To develop new and existing rural programs and faculty
2. To network with other rural faculty and leaders.
3. To define some basic elements of rural medical education
4. To discuss the future of rural medical education
